Sponsor a child: Latin America child sponsorship! - American Literature On Line

Sponsor an Americas Child!

There are twenty one countries in Central and South American where it is possible to sponsor a child. In many of them the root cause of children with no-one to look after them is extreme hardship. Big rural families who literally have not got enough food to feed all their children often abandon a four year old into a city when a new baby is born. This is heart breaking and we only manage to "catch" a small proportion of such children. SOS Children works hard to try to support families who are near the edge to prevent this happening. SOS Children also takes in the abandoned children and if we are unable to trace the family we give them a new one. Children living in the SOS Children's Villages are generally available for sponsorship. For more information about the locations and children please take a look at where to sponsor in South America.
